Surrendering an animal

At Animal Humane Society, we serve approximately 36,000 animals each year. They come to us for a variety of different reasons, including as family surrenders or strays and after being rescued by our Special Case Response and Humane Investigations teams. We want each of them to have a happy and loving home and are proud to be an open-admission facility*—we serve all people and animals, regardless of their circumstances. No one is turned away at our open doors.
